★ How to sample

Mainly collect the relative concentration of canine distemper virus, such as eyes, nasal cavity, mouth, etc., as far as possible to collect fresh secretions, the specific steps are as follows:

Moisten the cotton swab in the diluent, gently collect the secretions of the dog's upper and lower eyelids, try to collect the newly secreted sticky, and then put the cotton swab back into the diluent and stir;

2, continue to collect the dog's nasal or oral secretions, put back in the diluent and stir;

★ Detection procedure

After completing the sampling procedure, insert the cotton swab into the diluent and stir thoroughly. Let it sit for 1 minute.

1.with a matching straw to absorb the appropriate amount of sample liquid;
2.drop a drop in the sample hole of the test strip, 3 seconds later, then drop 2 to 3 drops;
3.when the "C line" of the test strip appears, the timing begins, the general interpretation time is less than 10 minutes, but if the C line does not appear, it is necessary to replace a new test strip.

★ How to interpret

1.if the C line and T line appear at the same time, that is, "two bars", it means that distemper positive, need immediate medical attention;
2.if there are lines on the C line, and no lines on the T line, it means that the dog is not currently infected with canine distemper virus.

 

Second：Dog small rapid test strip

★ When to use

Dogs can be tested for Detection of canine distemper virus antigen if they have the following symptoms:

Frequent vomiting;

Not eating;

An increase in body temperature;

Respiratory symptoms;

Atheromatous diarrhea to watery diarrhea;

Vomit and excrement are fishy and bloody;

★ How to sample

It's also where virus collection is concentrated, such as nasal plugs and the anus:

1.Moisten the cotton swab in the diluent, collect the secretions in the dog's nasal cavity, and stir them into the diluent;
2.pull the dog's tail up, the wet cotton swab head 2 cm deep into the anus, gently rotate it out, and stir it into the diluent.

The detection procedure and interpretation method are the same as the distemper strip

1.if the C line and T line appear at the same time, that is, "two bars", it means positive, need immediate medical attention;
2.if there is a line on the C line, and no line on the T line, it means that the dog is not currently infected with the virus.
